essay: Desire Machine: The unconscious does not speak, it engineers. It is not expressive or representative, but productive.... Rather than linking dependent parts into a functioning whole, desiring machines involve heterogeneous "parts" in a connective synthesis. The unconscious is a factory rather than a theater. The unconscious constructs machines, which are machines of desire, whose use and functioning schizoanalysis discovers in their immanent relationship with social machines.

essay: Carlos M Teixeira: Jari II Project (After Archigram) This is the story of the Kyoto Protocol Landscape. It is divided in two phases. Part I (history) relates to the Jari Project, a mega exploitation of the Amazon forest that began in 1968. Part II (fiction) tells an imaginary unfolding of the Jari Project that starts on 15 sep 2001 and terminates in 2008, at the eve of the Kyoto Protocol's official beginning. I don't know, I couldn't eat, there was just something irksome about people in suits eating free hors d'oeuvres and drinking donated wine all in the name of public housing.
